The Black Variant Of Xiaomi Mi 5 Is Now Available In India

The Mi 5 is Xiaomi’s latest flagship. This smartphone was introduced back in February during the Mobile World Congress (MWC), and the device has been available for purchase for quite some time now. The phone is available in parts of Asia, it landed in China first, and it has been available in India since April. Now, only the white color variant of the device was available in India, well, at least until now, read on.

For those of you who live in India and are interested in the Xiaomi Mi 5, but are reluctant to get the white color variant, you’ll be glad to hear that the black and gold color options are coming. In fact, the black variant of the Xiaomi Mi 5 is already available on Flipkart, and will be soon on Amazon India as well. This variant of the phone is currently available for Rs. 24,999 ($368) in India, and if you’d like to purchase it, follow the source link down below. We still don’t know when will the gold color option become available though, Xiaomi did not release a specific date or anything of the sort, so you’ll need to keep your eyes open for that one. Now, as you might know, the white Xiaomi Mi 5 came in sporting 3GB of RAM in India, and the same can be said for this black variant of the device, Xiaomi opted not to release the 4GB RAM Mi 5 Pro model in India for some reason.

The black Xiaomi Mi 5 model which was just released in India sports a 5.15-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core processor, along with the Adreno 530 GPU for graphics. The 16-megapixel 4-axis OIS camera is placed on the back of the device, while you’ll find the 8-megapixel snapper up front. The 3,000mAh non-removable battery is available on the inside of this smartphone, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed here with Xiaomi’s MIUI 7 OS on top of it. The Mi 5 also offers 4G LTE with VoLTE, and a fingerprint scanner is placed in the phone’s physical home button which is located below the display.
