PSA: Sony's Xperia X Pre-Orders Are Live On Amazon

Sony officially announced the new Xperia X lineup back in February at Mobile World Congress, but at the time they hadn't announced any pricing details or availability details about any of the three phones that were initially unveiled. After they officially announced the Xperia XA Ultra, the fourth phone in the family, they announced both U.S. availability and pricing for the region back on May 31st. While the Sony Xperia X is still not going to be available for purchase officially until June 26th, the pre-orders are already live, and have been live since the day of the announcement on pricing which was as stated, back at the end of last month.

The Sony Xperia X comes equipped with a 5-inch curved edge 2.5D glass display with Full HD resolution at 1920 x 1080 pixels. Instead of keeping the metal and glass design Sony chose to switch things up and swap out the glass on the back for a metal one. The cameras should offer a pretty decent performance with a Sony Exmor RS 23MP rear-facing camera sensor and a 13MP front-facing camera with a wide-angle lens for selfies and video chat. It comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor which is paired with an Adreno 510 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, with expandable storage up to 200GB via a microSD card.

It supports quick charge and comes with a quick charger in the box, and it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow from the start. It also supports Sony's PS4 Remote Play functionality so you can link the PS4 to the device and play your PS4 games on the phone. Since the device is unlocked it will support multiple U.S. networks as long as they are GSM carriers, which include T-Mobile, AT&T, Cricket Wireless, Metro PCS and more. The phone also has a 2,220 mAh battery inside that Sony boasts is capable of getting two days of battery life from a single charge, and with Sony's Hi-Res with Clear Audio+ consumers should expect excellent sound quality. The phone is up for pre-order on Amazon for $549.99 and comes in four different colors which include Black, Lime Gold, Rose Gold, and White.
