LeEco (formerly Letv) is growing fast. This company has been around for quite some time now, though they’ve entered the mobile market in April last year. This means that the company has been active in the smartphone market for only a year or so at this point, and despite that fact, their devices have become extremely popular, especially in Asia. LeEco is looking to expand its business though, the company had started selling the Le Max 2 flagship internationally, and they’ve also opened up the U.S. headquarters earlier this year as well.
The aforementioned Le Max 2 handset is actually the company’s flagship phablet. This device was introduced back in April alongside the Le 2 and Le 2 Pro devices. The Le Max 2 comes with premium specifications, and it originally launched with 6GB of RAM and either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage. Well, it seems like LeEco has decided to release yet another variant of this phablet, a 128GB storage model. In addition to the 32GB and 64GB storage models, the 128GB storage variant is now a thing as well. The company has unveiled this handset in China, and it costs 2,799 Yuan ($421), while it sports the same specs as the regular Le Max 2 handset. As a side note, the Le Max 2 32GB costs 2,099 Yuan ($316) in China, while the 64GB model can be purchased for 2,499 Yuan ($376). We still do not know if, or when will this new variant of the device become available internationally, but we’ll let you know if that happens, of course.
The LeEco Le Max 2 features a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, 4GB / 6GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB / 128GB of internal storage. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core processor, along with the Adreno 530 GPU. The 21-megapixel OIS snapper can be found on the back of this device, and an 8-megapixel shooter is available up front. The device is made out of metal, and a 3,100mAh battery is also a part of this package, and it is not removable. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the Le Max 2, and on top of it, you’ll find LeEco’s eUI 5.6 user interface. The Le Max 2 measures 156.8 x 77.6 x 8mm, while it weighs 185 grams.
