As you probably already know, Lenovo has introduced three new devices during Lenovo Tech World 2016 a couple of days ago. This China-based company announced the PHAB2, PHAB2 Plus and PHAB2 Pro devices, the latter one is the first ‘Tango’ AR handset in the world. That being said, all these devices are actually 6.4-inch phablets, and will be available later this year. Lenovo Tech World 2016 is behind us, and the company has just re-announced one of their already available devices, read on.
The company has re-announced the Lenovo Vibe K5, they’ve released the device in India. This smartphone was originally announced back in February during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, and now follows its sibling (Vibe K5 Plus) to India. The Vibe K5 Plus arrived to India back in March, and its sibling just landed. These two devices are actually identical in terms of the design, but their internals are different. The Lenovo Vibe K5 features a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. This handset is fueled by the Snapdragon 415 64-bit octa-core SoC running at 1.4GHz, along with the Adreno 405 GPU for graphics. The 13-megapixel camera can be found on the back of the Vibe K5, and a 5-megapixel snapper is available up front. The 2,750mAh battery is also a part of this package, and it is not removable. There are two SIM card slots available here (2 x micro SIM), and you do get 4G LTE connectivity with this smartphone as well. Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed on the Vibe K5, and you’ll find Lenovo’s custom UI on top of it. The Vibe K5 sports dual stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos audio is included here. The phone measures 142 x 71 x 8.2mm, while it weighs 142 grams.
The Lenovo Vibe K5 comes with three capacitive keys below the display, as you can see in the provided images. This device will be available in Platinum Silver, Graphite Gray and Champagne Gold color variants in India, and is priced at Rs. 6,999 ($104).
