HP Chromebook 11 G5 Surfaces On The Company's Website

Hewlett-Packard (HP) is one of the largest tech companies in the world still. This company is based in California, and it has been around for a long, long time. HP is not exactly in the smartphone business these days, but their laptop computers are quite successful, and HP is also a well-known manufacturer of Chromebooks. The company had introduced a number of Chromebooks to date, and we’re here to talk about one of their smaller offerings, the 11-inch variant, read on.

HP had introduced the Chromebook 11 G4 about a year ago, and it seems like the company is getting ready to launch its successor, the Chromebook 11 G5. HP still didn’t officially announce it, but they might as well considering the fact that an official document surfaced on HP's official website sharing not only the device’s specifications, but some images as well, so we can consider this to be a silent launch of sorts. The Chromebook 11 G5 looks quite similar to its predecessor, though it’s both thinner and lighter this time around. The device measures 286 x 205 x 18.4mm, while it weighs 1.14kg (touchscreen model will be a bit heavier). Now, as far as specs go, the HP Chromebook 11 G5 will sport an 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 display, and will ship in both 2GB LPDDR3 RAM (+16GB storage) and LPDDR3 4GB RAM (+32GB storage) variants. This Chromebook will be fueled by Intel’s Celeron N3060 (Braswell) dual-core SoC running at 1.60GHz (2.48GHz Turbo Boost), and Intel’s HD Graphics 400 (DX12 support) is in charge of graphics processing here. The device will include two USB 3.1 ports, an HDMI out, a 3.5mm audio jack, and an SD card reader. The 720p camera will be available up front, and both Bluetooth 4.2 and WiFi 802.11ac will be included here. The battery apparently has a capacity of 43.7Wh, though we still don’t know how much battery life you’ll be able to get out of it. The HP Chromebook 11 G5 is, of course, fueled by Chrome OS. That is more or less it. This Chromebook is expected to become available later this month, though we still cannot confirm this. The price is expected to be over $200, but not by much. As soon as HP releases some official info, we’ll make sure to let you know.
