Just a few days ago ZTE Mobile Devices sent out invites for an upcoming event that takes place next week on May 26th, where it's believed that the Chinese smartphone company will be unveiling the all new AXON 7 device which is to be ZTE's next flagship smartphone. Along with listing the name "AXON 7" on the invite, it was also teased that the phone may have premium audio quality as the words "Theater Sound and More" were listed on the invitation as well. A new set of hints that recently popped up via Weibo around the same time from the CEO of ZTE Mobile Devices Adam Zeng, places even more emphasis on the audio quality that the AXON 7 may bring to the table.
According to the post on Weibo, Zeng notes that they have sought out counsel from conservatory professors in order for them to deliver the "ultimate audio and visual experience," which does not mention any specifics about the audio technology or features that will be integrated into the AXON 7, but it does put some focus on the fact that ZTE Mobile Devices wants to make sure that the device has the ultimate experience for audio as well as visual to offer to their customers.
In addition to this post from Zeng, another post on Weibo from ZTE's Deputy Head of Strategy and Marketing shows off an image of two professors from the Xian Conservatory of Music holding a ZTE device, with a mention of the AXON name along with the picture. The ZTE AXON 7 is rumored to be using a dual speaker setup with Hi-Fi sound capabilities for premium sound, and it's also rumored to be using technology from AKM that's built into the handset, more specifically, a new audio chipset from AKM that utilizes 32-bit advanced audio codec with DSP. With this kind of emphasis on the audio, the AXON 7 is likely to be a device with excellent quality audio, potentially delivering unparalleled sound experiences for things like music, videos, games, call quality, and more. There are no confirmed specs details for the AXON 7 just yet as the official announcement for the device has not yet happened.
