Withings GO Activity Tracker Goes On Sale For $79.95

When it comes to wearables, the sea of growing possibilities can begin to feel a little bit daunting at times, especially if you're new to the market and don't know what to look for or what you want. This can only get more challenging as many trackers will cost over $130 or more causing consumers to have to think harder about their investment. Not all trackers are expensive, though. Withings's "GO" activity tracker (initially announced back during CES 2016)is in the realm of affordable solutions among many more costly options, coming in at only $79.95, and the colorful tracker has just hit the market as Withings just announced this morning that the GO has gone on sale via their website, with more retail options to come in the future.

The GO aims to offer those who want to be more active and stay fit an opportunity to keep track of important information and data that can help them do just that: stay fit. It comes in black, as well as four vibrant colors of blue, yellow, green, and red. The Withings GO is designed to be lightweight yet functional, with a silicone body and strap  that doesn't feel heavy and weighted down, and an E-Ink display which showcases all the user's activities such as running, walking, sleeping, and swimming. It can also track calories burned, duration of the running session, and distance.

The Withings GO is capable of more than just tracking activities. The GO tracks activities intelligently with advanced recognition technology with the ability to distinguish between varying speeds, as well as different types of movement, and different types of motion so it's able to pinpoint the activities that you're engaged in. Activity tracking is also automatic so users won't have to do much beyond putting the GO on their wrist and initially setting it up to stay connected to their phone, which means there's no need to tap any buttons or displays to start tracking or to view data. The GO is water-resistant with a rating of 5ATM, and can be worn on the wrist, clipped to a bag or belt, and can even be kept in the pocket if the user chooses to keep it there. The Withings GO is available from the Withings website now for $79.95, and Withings states that it will be available from Amazon as well in the near future with a release through the online merchant in Q2 of this year.
