There are tons of apps available in the Google Play Store, and amongst them you’ll find plenty of games. Gaming situation has improved considerably on mobile devices with the evolution of smartphone / tablet hardware, so we’re seeing really interesting titles out there lately which offer great graphics. Still, there are plenty of those ‘regular-looking’ games available out there, graphics isn’t everything after all, right? Well, I believe that most of us would agree that gameplay comes first, a game can look brilliant in terms of graphics if the gameplay isn’t up to par.
That being said, a new role playing game surfaced on the Google Play Store recently, and it’s actually quite intriguing. The ‘Who Lurks’ is the title in question, and this game has been available in the Google Play Store for a short while now, it has only 24 reviews thus far, and holds a 4.9-star rating in the Google Play Store, which is commendable. The ‘Who Lurks’ is a role playing Sci-Fi board game, well, in a way. This must seem somewhat confusing, but it’s not, even though this game is a bit weird, which is exactly what makes it interesting. You start off as a captain of a ship whose goal is to find an undercover alien who hides amongst your crew members. You can also play as said alien considering this is a multiplayer game, local multiplayer is available. Anyhow, the game basically revolves around mini games which are basically board games, ranging from watching certain patterns being activated on the display, and then repeating them, to various maze-like mini games where you need to find a way from point A to point B without hitting a wall while you’re at it. As you progress, you will upgrade your ship and come closer to revealing the culprit.
The music in this game will give you chills, it’s a bit creepy and quite mysterious. You will unlock additional content as you progress in the game’s single player campaign, though you can speed things up by paying real money to unlock content. You can set aside some cash to remove ads in the game, and you can also unlock some additional mini games which are otherwise locked, and also the ability to choose which mini games you’d like to play for a certain level.
