Top 10: Android News Stories - May 8th, 2016

The world of Android constantly seems to be full of new technology from smartphones to wearables to apps and everything in between. While there were no official new device reveals this past week, there were rumors regarding upcoming new devices that are speculated to be getting announcements in the near future. Xiaomi has been teasing their Mi Max device that could potentially get an unveiling this week during their May 10th event. In addition to the teaser images that were leaked of the Xiaomi Mi Max, more images regarding the successor to the Samsung Gear Fit, known as the Gear Fit 2, have surfaced this past week showing off the wearable in three different colors.

Although mostly known for their work with gaming peripherals and gaming laptops, Razer has been rumored to be considering a smartphone, which would mark this as the first time the company has ventured into the smartphone market with a device. Speaking of devices, leaked specifications and pricing information have surfaced this past week on the OnePlus 3, suggesting a Snapdragon 820 processor inside with a 16MP rear camera and a 3,500mAh battery. Perhaps one of the biggest pieces of news this past week was the rumor surrounding YouTube that suggests they will be looking to offer a cable TV service which is slated for launch sometime in 2017.
