Samsung has released five 'Galaxy Note' devices thus far, and the last one was announced back in August last year. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is still the company's flagship phablet, even though it's not the most powerful device in their lineup anymore, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are. That being said, we've seen a number of Galaxy Note 6 rumors thus far, and the latest one suggested that the company will announce this phablet on August 15th in the US. Now, we didn't have to wait long in order to see yet another Galaxy Note 6-related rumor considering a new one surfaced quite recently, read on.
According to SamMobile's sources, Samsung has started developing firmware for the Galaxy Note 6. The source has also mentioned that the build number of the initial firmware is 'N930FXXU0APE1', though that will probably change by the time this phablet gets announced. Now, the Galaxy Note 6 will sport high-end specifications and a premium build, as it does every year. Chances are this device will resemble the Galaxy S7 quite a bit in terms of the design, and you can expect an even higher-end set of specs included here. According to rumors, the Galaxy Note 6 will feature a 5.8-inch 'Slim RGB' AMOLED display, 6GB of RAM, and will ship with a 4,000mAh battery which will probably be non-removable. Company's Exynos 8890 64-bit octa-core processor is said to fuel this smartphone, and the Snapdragon 823 variant will quite probably also going to be available in select markets. The 12-megapixel snapper which ships with the Galaxy S7 will probably come with the Galaxy Note 6 as well, though we believe Samsung will improve the software behind it in order to offer an even better image-taking experience. The Type-C USB port will probably going to be a part of this package even though the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge didn't feature it, and you can expect to see either Android Marshmallow or Android N installed on the Galaxy Note 6.
In addition to all this, it is worth mentioning that the Galaxy Note 6 Lite with the Snapdragon 820 and 4GB RAM has also been rumored lately, so that variant might be introduced alongside the Galaxy Note 6 as well. That is more or less it, stay tuned for additional details, we'll keep you posted.
