OnePlus 2 & X To Also Be Available Through Amazon In The U.S.

Earlier today, OnePlus confirmed that those who live in the UK will now be able to get their hands on the current OnePlus flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 2, much quicker than usual. This was thanks to the announcement through Twitter confirming that OnePlus is in the process of making its handsets available to those who live in the UK via Amazon. While Amazon means UK consumers could take advantage of the expedited shipping that comes with a Prime membership in general, OnePlus has gone a little further by making their handset available through Prime Now. Essentially meaning you could order the OnePlus 2 and get it as soon as an hour later.

That said, at the time the information was only relevant to the OnePlus 2 as that is currently the only device that has seen its Amazon UK listing going live, with no word on whether the OnePlus 3 (when it is released) will offer the same level of Amazon availability. While the jury is still out on the OnePlus 3 and will likely remain so until the device is announced (which is currently thought to be June 14) and availability detailed and in spite of the lack of a page listing going live, OnePlus did also already confirm that the OnePlus X will become available through Amazon UK as well.

Now, reports are also coming through that the Amazon ordering won't be reserved to just the UK and that this is a feature which will be made available to those who live in the U.S. as well. At the moment there is no specific time-frame on when U.S. residents will be able to order through Amazon, but the word is that both the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X will be available through Amazon in the U.S in due course. Although pricing has also not been confirmed, OnePlus did recently drop the price of the OnePlus 2 and the OnePlus X in the form of a permanent price drop and it stands to reason that these will be the prices the two handsets will be available for via Amazon when they become available. Which for reference, comes in at $299 for the 64GB OnePlus 2 and $199.99 for the OnePlus X.
