Latest Google Cast Offer: YouTube Red for 3 Months at $0.99

From time to time, Google will put out some offers for those that own a Chromecast, or any Google Cast-enabled device (like Vizio's latest TV's), that will net you some freebies. Often times you'll be able to get a free or discounted movie rental from Google Play Movies & TV, or a credit for Google Play among a few other things. The latest is 3 months of YouTube Red (along with Google Play Music Unlimited) for just $0.99. This is a way to get users into using these services, which would normally cost $9.99/month.

Those that may be unaware of what YouTube Red actually is, it's a new service that Google launched last year. It gets you ad-free YouTube, along with a slew of original content - that's not available to everyone - from a ton of YouTube content creators out there like Pew Die Pie, Lilly Singh, and many more. It costs $9.99/month and is part of Google Play Music Unlimited. Now, Google Play Music Unlimited is their streaming music service. Where you can create your playlists, customized stations and so much more. This has been around for a few years, although it used to be known as Google Play Music All Access, which has obviously been renamed.

While this doesn't allow you to use the service for free, many people don't mind tossing out a buck to use YouTube Red for three months. Google is hoping that this will make the service a bit more known and bring in more customers. Don't forget that YouTube and by extension, YouTube Red, works with Google Cast. So you can find a video from the YouTube app on your phone and then cast it to your TV seamlessly. YouTube Red is pretty cool, and if you're tired of ads, then this is definitely the way to go.

To check to see if you are eligible for the offer, just hit the button below. You will need to do this from home, so that you will be connected on the same network as your Chromecast (this means being on WiFi and not a wired connection). Google will search for your Chromecast and then let you know if you're eligible.
