When it comes to tablets, the market hasn't really done all that well lately. We've seen tablet shipments decrease quite a bit, except in the case of Amazon's Fire tablets. The Amazon Fire tablet was launched at $49.99 last year, and it sold like hot cakes. Of course we all expected that, especially coming out ahead of the holiday season. Now Amazon has dropped the price to $39.99, however we are unsure of how long this sale is going to be going for, so you'll want to go ahead and pick one up before they are gone, or the price goes back up.
Just recently, Amazon refreshed the Fire Tablet and brought in a few new colors. So you aren't stuck with just the boring old black color. It's also available in orange, blue and purple, which are pretty interesting colors, to say the least. The Amazon Fire Tablet isn't your high-end tablet that you'd find from Samsung, LG or even ASUS. But it's still a great tablet to pick up for some occasional web browsing, playing games or even reading some books. Remember that the Amazon Fire Tablet runs Android, but it's a forked version. So you'll have to make due with Amazon's Underground, App Store. Or you could root and get Google's Play Services back.
