ZTE Blade V6 Wins Best Budget Smartphone Award In Russia

ZTE is one of the largest Chinese tech companies. This company is well-known in the smartphone world as well, as they release quite a few smartphone every year. The company’s sub-brand, Nubia, is going to release a new smartphone tomorrow, quite probably the Nubia Z11 Mini. Aside from the Nubia brand, ZTE also releases ‘Axon’ and ‘Blade’ Android-powered smartphones. Their Blade V6 handset was introduced in mid-2015, and has been quite popular in specific markets, like Russia, for example.

That being said, the Blade V6 is so popular in Russia, that it won the ‘Product of the Year’ award in Russia recently. The phone won this award in ‘The Best Budget Smartphone’ category at the award ceremony yesterday during the ‘Photo Forum’ and ‘Mobile & Digital Forum’ exhibitions. The first such award was handed out back in 2004, so it has been around for quite some time now. ZTE Blade V6 embodies our company's philosophy – we created a truly innovative product and made it affordable for everyone. It is especially important for us that the leading Russian mobile technology experts have appreciated the functionality and quality standards of our device," said Alexander Tsai, CEO of ZTE Device Group in Russia and the CIS.

The ZTE Blade V6 features a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS LCD display, along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. The device is fueled by MediaTek’s MT6735 64-bit quad-core processor, and a 2,200mAh battery is also a part of this package. The 13-megapixel camera is placed on the back of this smartphone, and a 5-megapixel snapper can be found up front. The phone is made out of aluminum, and it sports an industrial design. The power / lock and volume rocker keys are placed on the right side of this phone, and there are three capacitive buttons available below the display. Android 5.0 Lollipop comes pre-installed on the Blade V6, and on top of it, you’ll find ZTE’s MiFavor 3.0 UI. The device measures 142 x 69.5 x 6.8mm, while it weighs 122 grams.
