Vernee is a China-based smartphone manufacturing company not many people have heard of yet. This company has introduced their Apollo flagship quite recently, and has managed to intrigue some consumers. The Apollo is not only powered by the Helio X20, but it also sports 6GB of RAM on the inside. Now, for those of you who are interested in that handset, Vernee did also announce that it will cost $399, and that it will be available starting this month, though we still don’t know when exactly.
That being said, the company has now officially announced another version of their Apollo flagship, the Apollo Lite. This handset, unlike its more expensive sibling, sports ‘only’ 4GB of RAM, but it is also quite a bit more affordable. The Apollo Lite will ship with a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The device will be fueled by the Helio X20 64-bit deca-core processor, and will sport a Type-C port on the bottom. The 16-megapixel snapper will be placed on the back of this phone, and a 5-megapixel shooter will be available up front. The Apollo Lite will be slightly different than the Apollo in terms of the design, as you can see in the provided image (gallery down below). The Apollo Lite’s body will be more curved, and there are a number of differences in the design if you take a closer look. The device will sport somewhat thicker bezels on the top and bottom, and its fingerprint scanner and camera sensor will be square-shaped. This handset will also sport different antenna placement, and both its power / lock and volume rocker keys are placed on the right side of the device. The Vernee Apollo Lite will, much like the Apollo, going to be made out of metal. In addition to all this, the Apollo Lite will also offer two SIM card slots, though one of them will be able to take in a microSD card as well, just in case you need to expand internal storage of this phone.
The Vernee Apollo Lite will cost $199.99 once it hits the market, and the company claims that this will be the cheapest Helio X20 + 4GB RAM smartphone in the world. If you’d like to check out the design of this phone, take a look at the gallery down below, but do keep in mind that the second image in the gallery shows off the prototype of the Apollo Lite, so there might be some slight changes on the final model, even though that’s unlikely to happen.
