This handset is now available on Snapdeal in India as well. The 2GB RAM + 16GB of internal storage variant is priced at Rs. 9,999 in India, while the 3GB of RAM + 32GB of internal storage combo costs Rs. 11,999. These two smartphones actually pack an interesting set of specs, and look quite nice, especially considering their price point. The Obi Worldphone SF1 sports a 5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) JDI In-Cell IPS display with Corning's Gorilla Glass 4 protection on top of it. The phone packs in 2GB / 3GB of RAM and 16GB / 32GB of internal storage (expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card), while it is fueled by the Snapdragon 650 64-bit octa-core processor, and an Adreno 405 GPU. The 13-megapixel snapper (Sony's IMX214 sensor, f/2.0 aperture) can be found on the back of this smartphone, and a 5-megapixel shooter is available up front. The 3,000mAh battery is included here as well, and it is not removable. Android 5.0.2 Lollipop comes pre-installed on this smartphone, and on top of it, you'll find the company's custom Obi Lifespeed UI. Dolby Audio and 4G LTE connectivity are both included in this package, while the device measures 146 x 74 x 8mm, and weighs 147 grams.
"We are excited to extend Obi SF1 to Snapdeal and expand our reach within India. After Amazon, Snapdeal is yet another step to let consumers avail more purchasing options at multiple platforms. With our clutter-breaking, design-led approach, we stay committed to making Obi Worldphone a consumer's delight," said Neeraj Chauhan, co-founder and CEO of Obi Worldphone. That is more or less it, Obi has just expanded their presence in India, and it will be interesting to see what will the company's new smartphone look like, it is expected to arrive before the end of the year.
