LeEco (formerly Letv) is definitely one of the most interesting companies around at the moment. This China-based company has been around for quite some time, and has been quite successful, but they weren't involved in the smartphone business until April last year. LeEco has introduced five devices thus far, the Le 1, Le 1 Pro, Le Max, Le Max Pro and the Le 1s. That being said, it has been a year since the company introduced their first three smartphones, and they have been teasing the arrival of their new flagship for quite some time now. The company has already announced the April 20th press event during which they'll almost certainly introduce the Le 2 smartphone, read on.
The LeEco Le 2 has already been benchmarked on GFXBench, and the company has shared some sample images taken with Le 2's camera. On top of all that, the device has been certified by TENAA (China's equivalent to the FCC) quite recently as well. Just as we thought every single Le 2 rumor, leak and teaser has already surfaced, a new one arrived. The company has actually released yet another official teaser for this smartphone, and they're clearly trying to say that the Le 2 will not have any bezel on the sides. The company's CEO, Jia Yueting, has shared this teaser on his official Weibo (Chinese social network) profile. As you can see, the company's CEO is comparing the upcoming Le 2 with the iPhone 6s, and is trying to say that the Le 2 will sport significantly thinner bezels, and look better all around because of it. The iPhone 6s Plus might be one of the best-selling devices on the planet, but the company really didn't pay much attention to bezels, the iPhone 6s Plus is an incredibly huge device, and its display is 'only' 5.5-inches big.
According to TENAA's listing, the LeEco Le 2 will sport a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. MediaTek's Helio X20 64-bit deca-core processor will fuel this smartphone, and a 3,000mAh battery will also be a part of this package. The 16-megapixel camera will be located on the back of this phone, and an 8-megapixel shooter will be placed up front. Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come pre-installed, and the company's custom UI will be available on top of it. The Le 2 will be made out of metal, and LeEco is actually expected to release the higher-end variant of this phone as well, the Le 2 Pro, but we'll see what happens on April 20th.
