The Motorola Moto X Force was announced back in November 2015 as the company's first smartphone in the Moto series to feature a shatterproof display. The same smartphone was released in India in February 2016 at the starting price of 49,999 Indian Rupees, which translates to roughly $755 at today's conversion rate. That's quite a premium price tag, but the good news for bargain hunters who may have kept an eye on the Moto X Force since release is that the smartphone's price in India has just been cut by a significant amount, bringing the price tag down to 34,999 Rupees, or roughly $528.
Motorola recently shaved Rs. 15,000 ($226) off the 32 GB Moto X Force in India, and also dropped the price of the 64 GB model by Rs. 16,000 ($241), down from Rs. 53,999. As such, the 32 GB Moto X Force can now be purchased from Flipkart and Amazon India for the price of Rs. 34,999 ($528), whereas the 64 GB model will set you back Rs. 37,999, or the equivalent of $574. Although the smartphone might no longer need an introduction, as a quick reminder the Motorola Moto X Force offers a 5.4-inch AMOLED display with a QHD resolution of 1440 x 2560 and a pixel density of ~540 pixels per inch. The screen is protected by Shatterproof glass, and underneath beats the heart of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC, featuring a quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU clocked at 1.5 GHz, and a second quad-core Cortex-A57 processor operating at frequencies of up to 2.0 GHz. Under the hood still, you will also find an Adreno 430 graphics chip, 3 GB of RAM, 32 or 64 GB of storage expandable via microSD by up to an additional 200 GB, and a 3,760 mAh battery. The smartphone also accommodates a 21-megapixel, f/2.0 main camera with 4K video recording capabilities and a dual-LED (dual tone) flash, as well as a 5 MP secondary front-facing sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. Last but not least, it runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box and is planned for an upgrade to version 6.0 Marshmallow.
According to Motorola, prospective customers can take advantage of the price reduction while stocks last or until the offer ends. However, no timeframe as to when the offer might end has been given by the manufacturer, so you might want to act fast if you've been waiting for an opportunity to buy the Motorola Moto X Force at a discount.
