Hockey is a very popular sport in a number of countries around the world. There are tons of Hockey-themed games available out there, and the NHL series is quite probably the most popular one. NHL is actually available on Android as well, but we’re not here to talk about that game, but one of its alternatives, a game we've stumbled upon quite recently called ‘Matt Duchene’s Hockey Classic’.
First and foremost, keep in mind that this game is available for download and play, but that’s only a trial version of sorts, so be warned. You get to play Sweden vs Finland game (1st period) for free, and if you decided you like the game, you can purchase the whole thing for around $3. The game offers really nice-looking graphics, sixty teams and six game modes to choose from, each of which is quite interesting in its own regard. This game comes from Distinctive Wireless Inc., a developing studio which released Hockey Nations, Patrick Kane’s Hockey Classic and Patrick Kane’s Arcade Hockey already. You can play one-on-one face-off, try your luck in playoffs, or play any other mode available in this game should you choose to purchase it. It takes some time to get used to the controls, but once you do, it’s actually quite an interesting game, and at the same time quite similar to some other 3D Hockey titles we’ve tried out, including various NHL titles.
The ‘Matt Duchene’s Hockey Classic’ game currently holds a 3.6-star rating in the Google Play Store, mostly because people were not pleased to see they can play only 1 period of 1 game for free. Either way, if you’re a hockey fan, this game will quite probably appeal to you, it certainly has some interesting elements and plenty of game modes to choose from.
