Huawei Honor 5C Gets Certified, Might Launch On April 28th

Huawei has been one of the most successful smartphone manufacturers last year. This China-based company has managed to sell 108 million smartphones, and at the same time become the world’s third largest smartphone manufacturer. Well, they have big plans for this year as well, the company has recently introduced their Huawei P9 and P9 Plus flagships, and they intend on shipping 140 million smartphones by the end of 2016.

That being said, Huawei is expected to introduce yet another handset before the end of this month, the Honor 5C. The Honor 4C has been introduced back in April 2015, and has been the company's mid-range offering which has been selling really well actually. The company has teased the arrival of their Honor 5C handset already, and two dates have been mentioned in leaks, April 13th and 28th. The device has not been announced yesterday, obviously, which leaves us the April 28th release date. Huawei will quite probably release several new teasers before they announce the phone, and interestingly enough, the device has paid a visit to TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) recently, read on.

According to TENAA’s listing, the phone will sport a 5.2-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card). Keep in mind Huawei might release a higher-end model of this phone, the one sporting 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. The phone will be fueled by the Kirin 650 64-bit octa-core SoC, and a 2,900mAh battery will be available here as well. The 13-megapixel snapper will be available on the back of the Honor 5C, and an 8-megapixel shooter will be placed up front. Android 6.0 Marshmallow will be pre-installed on this smartphone, and on top of it, you’ll be able to find Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) skin. If you take a look at the device, you’ll notice that the ‘Honor’ branding is present below the display, and the fingerprint scanner will be available here as well, placed below the rear-facing camera sensor. The single LED flash is also visible here, and the images also reveal that the power / lock and volume rocker physical keys will be placed on the right-hand side of this device. The Honor 5C will measure 147.1 x 73.8 x 8.3mm, while it will weight 156 grams.
