We don’t really get to talk about Russia-based smartphones all that often. Russia is a huge country, and I’m sure that all of you heard of Yotaphone at this point, a handset which was made by a Russian smartphone manufacturer. Two generations of the dual-screen Yotaphone have been released thus far, and the third-gen device is expected to be announced this year. Well, we’re not here to talk about Yotaphone, but another smartphone that comes from Russia, and unlike Yotaphone, this device doesn’t have two displays, but two rear-facing cameras, read on.
The device in question comes from the company called DEXP, and is called Ixion X355 Zenith. This smartphone sports two camera sensors on the back, as you can see, and sports a rather nice, minimalistic design. This handset is made out of metal and glass, and there are three capacitive buttons available below its display, as you can see in the provided image. The Ixion X355 Zenith sports a nice set of specs, but it’s definitely not a premium device, at least not in terms of specifications. The device features a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) OGS display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 on top of it. The phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor, along with the Adreno 405 GPU. This handset packs 3GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage (expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card). The 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel shooters can be found on the back of this device, and the LED flash is placed in-between them. The 5-megapixel camera is located on the front side of this smartphone, and so is the secondary LED flash unit. Android 5.0 Lollipop comes pre-installed here, and a 3,200mAh battery is also a part of this package, and it is not removable.
Now, the design of this device might seem familiar to you, that’s because this is essentially a re-branded XOLO Black handset which was announced a while ago. Now, this handset is priced at 14,990 Rubles ($222), and it will be available for purchase this month, we don’t know when exactly is DEXP planning to release it though, stay tuned.
