The options for how you consume streamed media are growing. The choices still are a little limited, but the options that are available at very good ones. If you just want to cast from your smartphone or tablet then Chromecast works extremely well. Likewise, if you want a fully-fledged Android experience on your TV then Android TV does provide this. However, if you are looking for something that is a little fuller than Chromecast and not quite as expensive as the various Android TV devices, then the Amazon Fire TV Stick is definitely a solid purchase.

The Amazon Fire TV stick is a great option for those looking for quick access to Netflix, Hulu, Sling and various cable provider apps, all without needing to be connected to your smartphone. Not to mention, if you happen to be an Amazon Prime customer, then the content on offer to you is massive and certainly does add value to owning the Fire TV stick. And right now Amazon has cut the price a little for both the standard Fire TV Stick and the Voice-Remote enabled version. The normal Fire TV Stick normally costs $39.99 but for today only, can be picked up for only $34.99. Likewise, the voice-enabled version which normally sells for $49.99, can today be picked up for $44.99. While not the biggest savings in the world, for a product which was already worth the money, this is a deal worth checking out.
