Although HTC has yet to announce or launch their upcoming flagship smartphone, the HTC 10, there are already rumors about there being a mini version of the phone. This shouldn’t surprise too many consumers as mini devices have been around for the last couple of years, and there still appears to be a trend for devices with screens smaller than 5-inches. What makes this interesting is that devices with smaller displays are where smartphones began, but when they transitioned into larger displays a device with a screen that was at least 5-inches became the standard, prompting companies to look at marketing smaller screen devices as “mini” version of their counterparts.
While the HTC 10 is reported to be coming with a 5.1-inch screen, the HTC 10 Mini as it’s being referred to currently is said to be coming a display that is just a little bit smaller, coming in at 4.7-inches. The rumor states that the phone will launch sometime in September which is months after the initial rumored launch for the original HTC 10, set for an announcement this month on April 12th. Although the display would be smaller, there is no detail as of yet on whether or not the phone would come with the same screen resolution quality as the HTC 10, which is said to be Quad HD. If HTC does release an HTC 10 Mini, would you opt to pick up the mini version over the regular model, or would you prefer to stick with the larger display?
