Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Released In India, Available Soon


Xiaomi has introduced quite a few smartphone last year, including their Mi Note and MI Note Pro flagship phablets. The company has announced a number of mid-range smartphones as well, and one of the best ones arrived back in November. The smartphone in question is called the Redmi Note 3, and it does offers really solid specs and build for the price. The Redmi Note 3 has been available in China since November, and consumers in India have been waiting for Xiaomi to release the device in India as well. Well, that has just happened, read on.

This China-based company has held a press conference in New Delhi and introduce the long awaited Redmi Note 3. Now, this is pretty much the identical device Xiaomi has announced back in November (aside from the SoC). The Redmi Note 3 features a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) IPS display, along with 2GB / 3GB of RAM and 16GB / 32GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card). This handset is fueled by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 650 64-bit hexa-core processor, and it packs in a 4,050mAh battery. Speaking of which, Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0 is also available here, and this is a dual-SIM handset which offers 4G LTE with VoLTE. The 16-megapixel camera (f/2.0 aperture, PDAF) is available on the back of this phone, and a 5-megapixel snapper (f/2.0 aperture) is placed up front. Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed here with MIUI 7, and a fingerprint scanner is also a part of this package, and it is located on the front side of this phone. The Redmi Note 3 is made out fo metal, and it sports three capacitive buttons below the display, menu, home and back, as most of Xiaomi's devices do.


The Redmi Note 3 will be available in Silver, Champagne Gold and Dark Grey color options. The 2GB RAM (16GB internal storage) variant is priced at Rs. 9,999 ($148) in India, while the 3GB RAM (32GB native storage) model costs Rs. 11,999 ($178). The phone will be available starting March 9th, the first flash sale will be held at 2 PM on Mi.com and Amazon.in. The phone will be available for open purchase soon as well, in addition to the aforementioned sources, it will be available through Snapdeal and Flipkart (offline retailers) as well.
