Verizon LG V10 Marshmallow Update Available Starting Today

LG V10 users on Verizon's network are in for some good news. The carrier has just announced that they are releasing the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the device starting today. As announced on a dedicated section on their website, the latest Android OS update for the device will be released as version VS99022A. But despite announcing availability of the update, Verizon did not say how big it will be. Users who have been patiently waiting for the release of the update will have to check back on the website tomorrow for any news on how much space to prepare for the update.

Once the LG V10 gets updated to the latest Android OS, users can enjoy the new features of the software. This includes the highly favored Doze battery feature that helps users be in more control over their battery life. The update also provides access to Now on Tap, an actual silent mode, and more control on notifications. The update also has a clearer and more upfront control over app permissions. And along with the update, there's bound to be some bug fixes and enhancements to make sure Android 6.0 Marshmallow on the LG V10 doesn't get too bugged down with the usual errors.

If you visit the website now, chances are you won't get to see the update, Verizon has announced that the update will start rolling out during the day though. All you have to do in order to check if the update is available, is tap on the Settings app, go to About Phone, choose Software updates, and lastly tap on Check for Update. If it brings you a notification that an update is available, you can download it right away so you can start enjoying the features included on the Marshmallow update for your Verizon LG V10. Before you download, make sure that you have a strong Wi-Fi network connection and fully charged battery so that the download procedure does not get interrupted.
