Despite the fact HTC has been having issues turning a significant profit for quite some time now, the company is adamant to succeed. They've released several interesting handsets in the last couple of months, including their One A9 and One X9 devices, both of which are relatively affordable. Most consumers have been waiting for HTC to introduce their new flagship, the HTC 10, a phone which has been teased by the company for quite some time now. Well, this handset will be introduced on April 12th in London, New York and Taipei, and thanks to various leaks, rumors and official teasers, we have plenty of info when it comes to this device.
That being said, it seems like the company plans to introduce a more affordable HTC 10 version as well. According to the newly leaked info, HTC will introduce a Snapdragon 652-powered HTC 10 as well. Now, this info also reveals that the device will be released in three RAM and internal storage variants as well. The Snapdragon 652 variant of the phone will ship with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of native storage, while there will be two version of the Snapdragon 820-powered flagship. The more affordable HTC 10 variant is said to ship with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, while the highest-end model will come with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage. This info comes from China, and keep in mind it is not confirmed just yet. Speaking of which, the leak also shared the pricing of these phones for the Chinese smartphone market. According to the info, the Snapdragon 652 variant of the device will cost 3,799 Yuan ($584), while the Snapdragon 820 models will go for 4,999 Yuan ($768) and 5,888 Yuan ($905), respectively.
As far as specs go, all of these variants are expected to sport the same specs, aside from the differences we've mentioned, though it is possible that the Snapdragon 652 variant of the phone comes with a fullHD display, instead of the QHD panel. The HTC 10 will sport a 5.15-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, while a 3,000mAh battery is expected to be included here as well. The 12-megapixel shooter will be placed on the back of the phone, and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow will come pre-installed on the device, along with the Sense 8.0 UI on top of it. The phone will be made out of metal, and it will sport chamfered edges all around.
