Pre-Ordered Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge In India? Claim Free Gear VR

Samsung has introduced the company's all-new flagship smartphones last month during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. These two handsets are currently available for pre-order in a number of markets, and will go on sale on March 11th (in some regions). Some carriers have already started shipping Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge units to the consumers who pre-ordered them, and in the last couple of days Samsung has unveiled these two phones in China and India.

That being said, the India launch occurred yesterday, and the company decided to offer a free Gear VR to consumers who pre-order one of the two handsets, just like they did in a number of other areas. Now, those of you who have opted to pre-order one of these two devices in India might be wondering how to claim your free Gear VR headset, well, we might be able to help you out with that. Now, if you've pre-ordered the device online through Flipkart, all you have to do is wait for it to arrive, and activate it before April 7th in order to claim your free VR headset. Keep in mind that you won't receive this gift if you don't activate it on time.

Now, if you've pre-ordered the device offline through Samsung's store by paying Rs. 2,000 up front, you'll need to pay the rest of the cash before March 31st and activate the device by then. It is important to remember that while activating your device, you'll need to use the same mobile number you've mentioned while pre-ordering it in order to claim a free Gear VR headset. Now, once you've done that, you'll need to follow a number of steps in order to claim the headset. First and foremost, you'll need to download the 'My Galaxy' app from the Google Play Store, and sign-in if you already have an account, if not, you'll need to create one. Once you log into the app, the Gear VR offer will appear (keep in mind that it should appear within 24 hours), and you'll need to click on it in order to generate a coupon. After all these steps, you'll need to navigate to Samsung India's eStore, and buy the Gear VR manually using the generate coupon.
