There are tons of music apps available in the Google Play Store. Most consumers still use the default music app that comes on their phones, but there are tons of great alternatives out there. The competition for music playing apps is fierce, but when it comes to radio apps, well, not so much. There are quite a few internet radio apps out there, but if you’re looking for a really solid free internet radio app, you really don’t have as many choices, though there are quite a few apps out there which make this possible.
Speaking of which, we’ve stumbled upon one such app, an app which not only works great and gives you access to tons of stations, but it also looks great (Material Design). Good design is, next to functionality, extremely important, and ‘Internet Radio – PlayTime’ delivers in that aspect. This app can stream over 50,000 live internet radio stations, and it has a really functional search engine built in. There’s plenty of content included here, and you also can take advantage of the app’s music discovery service. There are various filters included here as well, you can check out songs by top charts, artists, stations, music genres, etc. As it’s the case with pretty much every similar app out there, you can create your own playlists in ‘Internet Radio – PlayTime’, which is one of the crucial features of such apps. There are a number of playback modes included in this app as well, you get Artist, Favorites, Recommended and Stationary mode. The Artist Mode plays songs by selected artist, while Favorites Mode takes songs from your favorites list. The Recommended Mode is an automatic playlist which will look into recommended songs based on what you like, and the Stationary Mode will simply play the radio station of your choosing. It is also worth mentioning that Chromecast streaming is also supported by the app.
As you can see, there are a number of options within this app, and the best of all, everything is free. That is pretty much it, there are a couple of official images available for you in a gallery down below, in case you’d like to check those out before trying out this app.
