Find a new Roommate with Roomi for Android

Finding a new roommate can sometimes be a pretty daunting task. On the one hand, it'd be nice to have a roommate to help pay the rent, but on the other you don't want someone that's messy, or stays out late partying, or one that doesn't pay the rent on time. There are all kinds of things to look for when looking for a roommate, and this new app, Roomi, is hoping to help you out. As of this writing, Roomi is only available for finding roommates in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego, however the developer promises that more cities are going to be added soon.

With Roomi, you can not only find a compatible roommate, but also find a place to stay. So this works great for those that might be moving to a new city, and need a place to stay. Roomi is taking the guesswork out of finding the perfect roommate. Having a roommate can be a pretty big deal and if you find the perfect one, you two could end up being friends for quite a long time, even when you're no longer living together. Now that's a big deal. Roomi allows you to connect using Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram so you can create your own social profile and update your roommate preferences. Roomi will also show you recent rooms that were posted by people searching for roommates, so you can find the perfect place to live. Roomi also  allows users to search based on living preferences and personal interests, and potential roommates can contact you through Roomi. They will contact you through the app, so they never get your actual contact information right away, making it safe for all parties.

Roomi is definitely the way to find a roommate in the 21st century, using technology. It's an app that many likely wished were around back when they were in college and such and looking for a roommate. As we've all had that one roommate that was an absolute pain, but had to live with so that the rent could be paid. You can download Roomi from the Google Play Store today, it's completely free.
