Elephone S3's Official Hands-On Video Pops Up, Bezels Begone

Elephone S3 2

Elephone is not exactly the most popular smartphone manufacturing company out there, but they’re certainly trying to get some recognition. The company has introduced quite a few devices a couple of weeks ago, along with the Elephone W2 smartwatch which we’ve already reviewed. The bezel-less Elephone P9000 Edge is definitely the most interesting Elephone-branded smartphone thus far, but sadly, this handset is still not available for purchase.

While we’re waiting for the Elephone P9000 Edge to become available, keep in mind that the Elephone P9000 and P9000 Lite are already available out there. That being said, the company plans to introduce yet another ‘bezel-less’ smartphone in the near future, the Elephone S3. Our source at the company actually provided us with the official hands-on video with this smartphone, and some specs were also mentioned. The Elephone S3 will sport a 5.2-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, and will be made out of metal. The fingerprint scanner will be available here, on the back of the device, and the phone will be fueled by MediaTek’s MT6735 64-bit quad-core SoC. Sony’s IMX219 sensor will also be included in this package, and that’s pretty much everything we know of its specs at the moment. We do, however, guess that Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come pre-installed on this smartphone, along with some additions by the company.

You can get a pretty good idea of how the device will look like, if you check out the embedded video down below. The company shows off parts of the Elephone S3’s UI, and a game has been fired up on the device as well. The Elephone S3 certainly won’t be one of the more powerful Elephone-branded smartphones out there, but it is certainly one of the best-looking ones. We still don’t know when will this smartphone become available, but you can expect it to start selling soon, Elephone will probably officially announce it in the coming weeks. The device will be quite affordable judging by its specs, so stay tuned for more info if you’re interested, we’ll report back as soon as Elephone releases more details about this handset.
