Acer Announce NYC Event Taking Place April 21

With MWC 2016 firmly just a memory now, much of the attention will be turning towards what is next on the 2016 calendar of events. In fact, when it comes to April, it seems there are quite the number of events due to take place already. One of those which has garnered a majority of the headlines of late, is an event which is due to take place on April 12 from HTC. An event which is largely expected to see the company's latest flagship smartphone, the HTC 10, finally being announced and unveiled.

That aside though, April will be a busy month with Huawei and Meizu also expected to be taking to the stage and unveiling their next in line devices. In fact, Meizu will be holding two events during the month. Following which, it now looks as though Acer have been added to the list as they will also be holding a press event in April as well. An event which according to the details, will take place in New York City on the 21st of the month. Which is almost identical to last year when Acer held a 2015 event in NYC on April 23. As to be expected, there are firmly no details on what will be unveiled at the Acer event, although it does seem that the company is planning on making a number of announcements and ones which are likely to span their portfolio. Which means we could be seeing anything from new smartphones, to new tablets, to new Chromebooks being announced when the time comes.

Whatever it is that Acer does plan on announcing and unveiling at the event, the company has confirmed that you will not have to worry about heading out to New York to be part of the action, as Acer is planning to livestream the event on the day, so you will be able to watch all the action as it unfolds live. Either way, with a little under a month to go, it won't be too long of a wait until Acer does reveal what they have planned for 2016 and there will be plenty of other events to keep us occupied in the meantime.
