Samsung's Dongjin Koh talks Philosophy of the Galaxy Brand

Last year, JK Shin decided to step down after being in charge of Samsung's mobile business for quite some time, as Samsung felt they needed some changes in their mobile business. While he's still an integral part of their mobile business, Dongjin Koh now heads up Samsung's IT and Mobile businesses. Ahead of Unpacked, Koh sat down to talk about his vision of the future for their mobile business. In the video, Koh talks about his personal objectives in the mobile business as well as future products, in addition to his vision for the business.

In the video, which is below you can see that Koh talks about how Samsung remains committed to extending benefits of new technology to their customers, as well as adding new values to their products. Koh states in the short video, "we should try something new... something which hasn't been done before." That's just what Samsung did with the Galaxy Note Edge and the Galaxy S6 Edge in the past two years, under JK Shin's leadership. He also states that they are not "afraid of limits" in terms of the Galaxy brand and what it can provide to users and customers. Also noted that they will "always keep moving forward". Koh says that the philosophy of the Galaxy brand is to try new things, and new innovations. He goes on to use the Galaxy Note as an example of that. With the Galaxy S6 Edge being another example of how Samsung is bringing in new innovations and trying new things.

Samsung is always trying out new things, just take a look at the Galaxy View that was announced last year, and that likely won't stop. We'll see Koh at Unpacked next week where the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge will be formally announced. While we have already seen many of the features and specs of the device - as well as pictures of said device - there still could be some surprises left. You can watch the full video of Dongjin Koh down below, it's just under three and a half minutes, so it won't take long to watch the entire video.
