Plants VS Zombies 2 Celebrates V-Day With Themed Content

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and that means plenty of people are going to be wining and dining their loved ones and enjoying the special occasion. For the gamers, this portion of the year means exclusive themed content inside some of their favorite games, and EA's Plants VS Zombies 2 is getting in on the fun with their own Valentine's Day event and themed content that's been patched in with this latest update. The new content event is called Valenbrainz, naturally,  and all of that content should be live as of today and will run for the next couple of weeks up until February 16th, just a couple of days after Valentine's Day, which means there is tons of time to enjoy everything the new content has to offer.

If you're unfamiliar with the Plants VS Zombies franchise, it's an action-strategy game with a casual style of play so you can go at your own pace, tasking you with defeating hordes of zombies of all different types with an army of plants that you can supercharge with their own unique special abilities. As for what's new in this latest update release, EA has added in quite a few things to look forward to whether you're an existing or new player.

Included in the Valenbrainz event is six Valentine's themed zombies to encounter and destroy, eleven new Valentine's themed levels to complete, and for those that like to customize their in-game characters, there will also be a handful of collectible Valenbrainz-themed costumes. There will also be higher coin rewards for playing than usual so during this event would be a good time to stock up if you're running low on coins, and last but not least the event also introduces players to a premium plant called The Blooming Heart which can launch heart-shaped projectiles at enemies with increased damage the more they're tossed out. With all of this new content to consume during the free moments you have, there is sure to be plenty to do before you make your way through it all, unless you have an entire day to put towards gaming. If you want to pick up Plants VS Zombies 2, you can grab it from the Play Store.
