It was a year ago that we first saw the Huawei Watch at Mobile World Congress 2015. It wasn’t officially launched until the fall, after having another announcement at IFA 2015 in September. The Huawei Watch was one of the first round smartwatches without a “flat tire” as the Moto 360 continues to have. It’s a beautiful looking smartwatch from Huawei which does run on Android Wear. Speaking of which, Android Wear now works with the iPhone as well as Android.
Huawei has a slew of models available on Amazon, many of which have been discounted. The lowest model comes in at $299 and has a stainless steel case along with a leather strap. Coming in at $349 you have the stainless steel case with the metal link strap or the metal mesh strap. And at $399 there is the black stainless steel case with the black stainless steel link strap. The Huawei Watch continues to be the most expensive smartwatch available from a smartphone OEM (the Tag Heuer Connected comes in at $1500), but is well worth it. Huawei has future proofed the Huawei Watch, including a speaker which takes advantage of the latest version of Android Wear. However there is no LTE which is also included in the latest version of Android Wear.
