There is a very good chance that Samsung could be making a big announcement in the next few weeks or months. The believed announcement may have something to do with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 and other variants of the device. And judging from the recently leaked rumors, it looks like the Galaxy S7 could be supporting Samsung Pay out of the box.
A screenshot has been making the rounds on the internet about an alleged Chinese version of the much loved mobile paying app called Samsung Pay. On the screenshot, model numbers of both the Galaxy S7 and the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge are included along with around 13 other models. The model numbers included on the list are SM-G9300, SM-G9308, and SM-G9350. And as expected, the country/carrier-specific model numbers G9300 and G9308 belong to the Galaxy S7. Logically, the G9350 could belong to the Galaxy S7 edge.
While it isn't a clear confirmation on which devices could be launched by Samsung in 2016, these model numbers could debunk rumors that three different Galaxy S7 devices could be released this year. Instead of the rumored three devices, Samsung could be sticking to just two flagship smartphone models this year. Another thing that these model numbers are not telling us is what specs could be expected from each of these smartphone models. It certainly doesn't say what screen size we could be seeing on the two Galaxy S7 variants. There are, however, rumors pointing to a 5.1-inch and a 5.7-inch screen size on each Galaxy S7 variant.
It's only a matter of time before Samsung finally unveils the Galaxy S7. But while it hasn't been officially introduced in the market, all these rumors do not really prove anything specific about the device. These rumors continue to be rumors until the day the Galaxy S7 will be released to the public. There is another rumor that points to the Galaxy S7 release date could be on February 2016. It is a month away but it's a pretty exciting time for Samsung and all those who are awaiting the Galaxy S7 to be unveiled to the public.
