Galaxy S7 rumors and leaks have been surfacing all over the internet for months now. The leaks have become more frequent lately though, which was to be expected considering the device is expected to get announced next month. The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge have been listed on AnTuTu already, and a couple of more benchmarking sites, so we have a pretty good idea of what their specs will look like in the end, but we’ll talk about that a bit later.

New Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge info surfaced, and this info comes from a rather interesting source. A person who claims to be Samsung’s employee actually sent this info to a Korean site Naver, let’s see what it says. According to the info, basically every variant of the Galaxy S7 will sport a black chassis in order to achieve that premium look. The 12-megapixel camera will be included here, and it will sport f/1.7 aperture. According to the tipster, the company will actually use ‘On the night’ slogan, or something similar to that in order to promote Galaxy S7’s capabilities of shooting great photos in low-lit conditions. This camera will utilize a dual pixel auto focus, which is similar to what Canon uses in their DSLR cameras, and that surely sounds promising. This essentially reduces noise, and makes your colors more vibrant at the same time. The camera hump is allegedly a thing of the past, at least according to the tipster, he says that the camera will be flush with the body of the phone(s).

The tipster did provide quite a few camera details, but that’s not all. According to the source, the Galaxy S7 will also be water and dust proof, and all variants of the device will offer a hybrid dual-SIM slot, which basically means you’ll get a chance to insert a microSD card into the device if you want to expand its storage, or you can simply use two SIM cards without a microSD card. The Galaxy S7 will reportedly going to be available in Black, White, Silver and Gold color options, and it will offer a bigger battery than the Galaxy S6. Now, take this info with a grain of salt, this is just a rumor after all. The Galaxy S7 is expected to be announced during Samsung’s event on February 21st, but we’ll surely see plenty more info before that day comes, stay tuned.
