As some of you might know, Letv has re-branded to LeEco quite recently. The China-based tech giant has decided to ditch the 'TV' part in its name, and basically change its image. That being said, this company has announced five handsets thus far, and they've entered the smartphone business back in April last year. LeEco has managed to sell 4 million devices last year, and the latest handset they introduced is actually fueled by the Snapdragon 820 SoC. The Le Max Pro was introduced during CES in Las Vegas earlier this month, and LeEco plans to roll out some handsets in India tomorrow, read on.
We've already reported that LeEco will hold an event in India on January 20th, and it was more or less confirmed that the Le Max will be announced at the event. At the time, LeEco did tease a second device will be announced, and it seems like our guess was spot on, Flipkart has teased the arrival of Le 1s as well. LeEco has actually partnered up with Flipkart, and the company's handsets will be available through the retailer in India soon. ''This is estimated to reach approximately 100 million audiences, setting a new record for the widest coverage on a social media platform. The collaboration with Facebook will tremendously increase the outreach to a wider range of audiences,'' said LeEco.
The Le Max handset was announced back in April last year, and it features a 6.33-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, 4GB of RAM and 64 / 128GB of native storage. The Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core SoC fuels this phablet, and a 3,400mAh battery is available on the inside. The 21-megapixel camera can be found on the back of this phablet, and a 4-megapixel snapper is placed on its front side. The Le Max ships with Andriod 5.0 Lollipop out of the box, with the company's EUI interface on top of it. The Le 1s, on the other hand, packs a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) IPS LCD display, along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of non-expandable internal storage. MediaTek's Helio X10 SoC fuels this smartphone, and a 13-megapixel ISOCELL shooter is placed on the back of this phone. Stay tuned, we'll report back tomorrow when LeEco unveils the devices in India, and it is worth noting that the live stream of the event will be available.
