Honor has today officially confirmed that their Honor 5X smartphone will go on sale in the U.S from January 31st, this Sunday. The launch date had already been reported on a couple of weeks ago during CES, although the company has today made the launch date official, declaring the Honor 5X will be available to buy through Honor’s own website, Amazon and Newegg from January 31st. The launch price is the already confirmed $199.99 price, which does make the Honor 5X a compelling option for those looking for a decent built smartphone which makes use of a diamond-polished aluminum alloy casing, as well as some pretty decent specs.
If you need a reminder on what the specs on offer are, the Honor 5X comes boasting a 5.5-inch display which makes use of a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Inside, the Honor 5X comes equipped with 2GB RAM and comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor (clocking at 1.5 GHz). Storage is set at 16GB internally and there is the option to expand thanks to the inclusion of a microSD card slot. In terms of cameras, the Honor 5X comes loaded with a 13-megapixel rear camera, which is coupled with a 5-megapixel front facing camera.
