Hands-On With Sony's 2016 Android TV Sets

Sony is in attendance at CES this week and the company held their main event earlier in the week. While there was not much announced specifically for Android, the company did announce the launch of a few new models of their Android TV sets. The newest additions to the Android TV platform come in the form of the Sony XBR-X930D, the XBR-X940D and the XBR-X850D models. All of these are 4K TVs and all of these come running with Android TV built-in. Interestingly, Sony also took the opportunity to announce a new Android TV app which will only be available on these TVs. The app is the ULTRA app and will allow the new set owners to buy and stream 4K content from Sony pictures directly on the new TVs.

In terms of availability, Sony has yet to confirm full launch details of any of the three new models and there are also no firm details on what their likely prices will be at the moment. However, Sony did confirm that the new Android TV sets will be available "early 2016". In the meantime though, you can take a closer look at the latest Android TV sets from Sony in the gallery below.
