Hands-On With The Acer Iconia One 8

Aside from the monitors and Chromebase that Acer showed off this week during CES, they also announced the all new tablet aimed at kids and families called the Iconia One 8 tablet, featuring an 8-inch screen that uses an IPS panel technology with 10-point multi-touch. We were able to get some hands-on time with the tablet to see how it feels and get a closer look at the design.

The Acer Iconia One 8 comes with a user-friendly interface that's been simplified for children to use, boasting functions like double tap to wake and a three finger pinch to take screenshots as opposed to having to this the hardware buttons. The Iconia One 8 comes with 16GB of internal storage but it can be expanded on up to 128GB via the microSD card slot, and it comes equipped with a 5MP rear camera as well as a 2MP front camera. Battery wise it features a battery that can last up to 9 hours, and it's powered by a MediaTek quad-core processor alongside 1GB of RAM.
