There are a number of new handsets which arrive each year and two of the very latest to be announced came from Elephone. These are the Elephone P9000 and P9000 Lite. As you would expect by the names, these are from the same family of devices and largely, come boasting similar levels of specs, although there are some subtle differences in their design.

In terms of the Elephone P9000, this handset comes equipped with a 5.5-inch display which makes use of a 1920 x 1080 resolution. On the inside, the P9000 comes packed with 4GB RAM and is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek Helio P10 Octa-core processor. Storage is set at 32GB internally and there is the option to expand when needed. Cameras on offer include a 13-megapixel rear camera which is coupled with an 8-megapixel front facing camera. The P9000 comes powered by a 3000 mAh battery and comes running on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) out of the box. Additional features on offer include NFC, Type-C USB port, a fingerprint scanner and 4G LTE support. In terms of network compatibility, the P9000 works with 2G (GSM) 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, 3G (WCDMA) 850/900/1900/2100 MHz and 4G (FDD-LTE) 800/900/1800/2100/2600 MHz.

Moving on to the Lite version and the Elephone P9000 Lite comes equipped with the same sized 5.5-inch display and again with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Once again, this device comes loaded with 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and is powered by the same 64-bit MediaTek Helio P10 Octa-core processor. The rear camera on offer is another 13-megapixel camera, although with a different sensor and the front-facing camera is only a 5-megapixel camera. In fact, much of the rest of the features are the same too with another 3000 mAh battery, Type-C USB and Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) again all in play. However, this one does not come boasting a fingerprint sensor. In terms of network compatibility, the P9000 Lite works with 2G (GSM) 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, 3G (WCDMA) 850/900/1900/2100 MHz and 4G (FDD-LTE) 800/900/1800/2100/2600 MHz.

There is also a notable difference in the price. For instance, the standard P6000 is currently available for $269.99, while the Lite version does come with a much cheaper price point of $219.99.
