Featured: Top 10 Android Games - January 2016

January has been a great month for mobile games as there are plenty of hits to sink your teeth into. Now that we're heading into the weekend, there's going to be some extra time for many of you to dump a few hours into your favorite games, whether that be role playing, simulation, adventure, action, racing, strategy or any other type. With so many good games having launched this month on Android, we've narrowed it down to 10 games that are definitely a worthy of checking out. Here's our list.

Blade: Sword of Elysion

Starting off the list is this hack and slash RPG called Blade: Sword of Elysion. As you would expect it's packed full of action and plenty of gritty, beautiful combat. This will feel similar to games like Taichi Panda, with multiple character classes to play, character progression, loot, and loads of gear and weapons to outfit your characters for major damage, as well as new abilities and skills to learn as you level up.

The Incorruptables

Real-time strategy fans need look no further than The Incorruptables. Gather powerful heroes and build up your armies & defenses, capture territory, and unleash awesome attacks on your enemies. You can unlock new heroes as you play and give them special new abilities by crafting them from found materials.

BLEACH Brave Souls

If you're a fan of the anime and always dreampt of controlling your favorite BLEACH characters, this is the game which will allow you to do it. It includes multiplayer PvP battles for competitive gameplay, but the real gem is being able to play through the BLEACH story from the beginning and watch everything unfold.

Age of Wushu Dynasty

Age of Wush Dynasty is the mobile adaption of the PC hit, scaled down for touchscreens and a more mobile-like experience. Having said that, there's loads and loads of content here with plenty of quests, PvP battles, huge boss fights, guild creation, you name it. If you have a little time on your hands and you enjoy the MMO type games, this is a surefire hit.

LEGO The Lord of The Rings

The LEGO games are always a good hit, and although this title is nowhere near new to mobile, it is new to Android this month and is sure to be packed with fun and adventure. In this game you'll get to play out and experience the story of the original Lord of The Rings trilogy, and with over 90 characters to play it should keep things feeling fresh.

Panzer Waltz

This role playing title sets you in the middle of an alternate world war II era where you command an army of female soldiers fitted with metal armor suits, against an army of machine beats that want nothing more than to wipe out humanity. Anime fans will love the visual style of the graphics, while those that value choice in games will love the decision making and ability to somewhat shape the direction of the game.

The Westport Independent

This is the latest from Coffee Stain Studios which are the same team behind Goat Simulator, and although this is a simulation game it's nothing like that. You'll play the role of an editor from an independent newspaper. You operate in a post-war society but must make the decision on what to print and what to throw away. Making the wrong call could put you in serious trouble with the government, so you may be left with censoring bits and pieces of information to keep your head above water.

Dead Syncoronicity: TCT

If you enjoy point and click adventure type games, Dead Syncronicity just might be for you. The narrative has you playing a recently awoken individual who has no idea where he is or what's happening. It's your job to save him as he traverses the dark world he has ended up in as everything falls to pieces around him.

Barely a day old, Crashlands is the next major hit from Butterscotch Shennanigans. If you love humor and epic adventures, you should give this game a try. It's a crafting RPG that has you stranded on an unknown planet. In this huge world you can discover new places and meet new people, gather material and craft all kinds of things, tame minions to help you do your dirty work (beat up enemies) and complete quests to level up your main character.

Pocket Mortys

For fans of Pok©mon and the Rick and Morty TV series on Adult Swim, comes an epic tale of adventure, intrigue, and zany antics from Rick and Morty as they're thrust into battle after battle against alternate ricks and other beings who all live to battle and capture all the different mortys. This is basically Pok©mon with Rick and Morty as the theme, and if you love the Rick and Morty series it's a must play.
