Dashlane 4 Update brings 5 New Languages

January 14, 2016 - Written By Alexander Maxham

These days, password managers have become pretty popular. With many of us needing so many different passwords for different sites, services, and such. It’s easy to forget our password. There are many popular password managers out there including Lastpass and Dashlane, who got an update to version 4.0 today. Dashlane already added support to the Android Marshmallow Fingerprint API as well as Samsung’s own fingerprint API. Today’s update brings a fresh UI, along with support for five new languages to the password manager. These languages include German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish. Making the app available in the native language of over 1.3 billion people.

Another feature added in today’s update is the “Password Changer”. This allows users to change their password for different sites without needing to go to the site and change the password. So if Twitter gets hacked, you can change your password from the Dashlane app without going to the Twitter app or their website. Pretty simple, and makes things even easier for everyone.

The new UI brought to us in Dashlane 4 is a much needed update. Prior to Dashlane 4, the UI in the app was pretty lacking. Now it has a fresh coat of paint and is a bit easier to use and navigate through. You can check out the video at the bottom of this post and see how great it really looks now. You now have your slide-out drawer, which gives you access to your passwords, password generator and much more. There is also a built-in browser, which you can quickly navigate to through the slide-out drawer in Dashlane 4.

Like many other password manager apps, Dashlane 4 is free to use on just one device. So if you want to use it on your mobile device, it’s free. However, if you want to use it on desktop, on your mobile devices and other platforms, you’ll need to foot the $39.99/year bill for the upgraded version. This upgrade will also sync your passwords and accounts across multiple devices. Dashlane officially supports 500 websites, and of course, many others will be added in the near future. You can pick up Dashlane 4 from the Google Play Store now.
