Asus Launched ZenFone Zoom In India, Optical Zoom In Tow

Asus' ZenFone devices are quite popular these days. The ZenFone 2, which has been announced in January 2015, has been rather popular last year, and same can be said for a number of other ZenFone-branded smartphones this Taiwan-based company has introduced. The ZenFone Zoom is one of them, and the company has said that this smartphone will become available in India at the end of January. Well, that's exactly what happened, Asus has introduced this handset to India quite recently, read on.

The ZenFone Zoom has been introduced to the Indian smartphone market, and it will be available exclusively through Flipkart, the company has announced. The phone will be available in Black and White variants, and both of those options are currently available directly from Flipkart. Asus is also offering a bundle which includes the ZenFone Zoom, Zenflash and a tripod. The device itself costs Rs. 37,999 ($560) in the country, and the bundle will set you back Rs. 39,999 ($590), in case you're interested. The ZenFone Zoom isn't exactly a new device, it was announced at the beginning of last year, but it became available about a month ago. The ZenFone Zoom features a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) IPS display (Gorilla Glass 4 on top), 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 128GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card). This handset is fueled by Intel's Atom Z3590 quad-core SoC running at 2.5GHz, which ships with a PowerVR G6430 GPU for graphics. The 13-megapixel OIS shooter (f/2.7-4.8 aperture, Laser Autofocus, 3X optical zoom) can be found on the back of this smartphone, and a 5-megapixel snapper is placed on the front side of this phone. The 3,000mAh battery is also a part of this package, and so is Asus' BoostMaster fast charging tech. Android 5.0 Lollipop comes pre-installed with the company's custom UI installed on top of it.
