The Mi Band has been available for quite a while now, and Xiaomi has announced that they've sold more than 10 million MI Band units in the first nine months of this year. Keep in mind that this fitness tracker was announced back in July 2014, so the sales number are actually significantly bigger than this. It is also worth mentioning that Xiaomi increased their wearable market share for over 800% in Q3 this year (compared to the same period last year) thanks to the Mi Band. The Mi Band is actually a fitness monitor & a sleep tracker, while it is also water resistant (IP67), and it offers a number of additional options in combination with Xiaomi's Android app. One of those options are notifications, the MI Band doesn't offer a display, but it has three LED lights on the top, which can notify you when particular messages arrive. You can control all this via Xiaomi's application which can be downloaded via the Google Play Store.

Xiaomi has actually announced MI Band's successor last month, a fitness tracker called the Mi Band 1S. This new fitness tracker is basically identical to its predecessor, but it offer an optical heart-rate sensor, which is something the original MI Band did not offer, and many people actually complained about that. The Mi Band 1S is also quite affordable, at launch it was priced at 99 Yuan ($16), which is still a great price for a fitness tracker.
