TeamViewer Rolls Out Version 11 Of Their App To All Users

There is more than one way to remotely access your computing systems from your smartphone, and one of those ways is through the TeamViewer application for remote control access. Some time back TeamViewer started a beta test for the upcoming version 11 which was to introduce a host of new features and useful tweaks, and as of today TeamViewer 11 is now rolling out to all users through the latest app update. Those who already use it should see the update as available from their my apps list, and newcomers should be able to grab it now from the Play Store.

According to TeamViewer, there are a number of new additions to look out for with the latest version of the app for Android, not the least of which is the ability to click weblinks. The app also now shows profile pictures for your computer contacts, making it a little bit simpler to identify the contact you need to engage with as the picture might be more recognizable to some users than just a list of names. They have also improved the stability of the chat functionality, and added the capability to copy chat messages and paste them into other location anytime you need to.

A couple of other new features to look out for is the ability to access host machines from the Chrome browser and Chrome OS devices, and users can now access unattended Android devices which have set up the application prior to the access attempt. Alongside these changes the app update to version 11 boasts loads of improvements to the user experience, and plenty of fixes to make the performance a smoother ride. The UI has also been updated which TeamViewer states was a core focus for them in making sure that users were able to access things more easily  and quicker than before. One of the biggest changes with TeamViewer 11 has been the inclusion of more device support, which Chromebooks and other Chrome OS devices are a part of, making TeamViewer the first professional remote access support solution in this area. Those looking to grab the latest version of TeamViewer can do so by hitting the Play Store link.
