International conglomerate Samsung, which sells a huge range of products from Gear smartwatches through refrigerators to shipping, started selling into the Indian market in 1995 by creating Samsung India. Now, twenty years later the business has decided to celebrate by launching a “Celebrating 20 Years” special offer, starting today, Friday the 11 December 2015 and running through until Wednesday, 30 December – that’s twenty days worth of deals. The deals include up to twenty percent cash back on exchange and twenty easy EMI options on selected television sets, air conditioning units, refrigerators, washing machine and microwave ovens. Samsung India Stores will be offering free insurance, five percent cashback (for HDFC Bank credit card holders) and additional Samsung SmartClub loyalty points. The business has created wedding packages on televisions and home appliances.
In the smartphone area and to continue the trend of twenty, Samsung India has stated that there will be more than twenty offers within the “My Galaxy” mobile application plus twenty percent off extended warranty packs for selected mobile or consumer electronics. One offer sees a one-time screen replacement of certain smartphone models, valid for twelve months from the date of purchase. Samsung currently offer a range of smartphones and tablets into the Indian market including the latest Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Note 5 models. The business competes with local manufacturers for India’s rapidly growing smartphone user base and network expansion.
Samsung India’s senior vice president of corporate marketing, Ranjivjit Singh, said this on the subject: “The trust, belief and expectations of our consumers have inspired us to innovate and address their needs through innovation. This promotion is a way for us to thank our consumers who have stood by us through all these years.” The President and Chief Executive Officer of Samsung India, H. C. Kong, added: “The last two decades has been a glorious journey for Samsung India. Along the way, we touched millions of hearts and became one of India’s biggest multinational corporations by revenue. This achievement is a result of the collective effort of all our colleagues, partners and consumers who have stood by us and believed in us over these years. Thank you India for helping us successfully reach this great milestone. We believe in co-prosperity, and the entire Samsung India family looks forward to continued support from across the country as we prepare for the next twenty years and beyond.”
