We have been hearing a lot of rumors of Samsung's Galaxy S7 as its launch date is getting nearer. Recent rumors have suggested that there will be two regular Galaxy S7 models in different sizes and two Galaxy S7 Edge curved-screen variants in different sizes as well. The new phones will apparently look pretty much like the ones from the current Galaxy S6 lineup as we've seen them in some leaked renders and some case manufacturers already have some cases for sale. Now, ITSKINS has listed some cases for the Galaxy S7 lineup and they are available for pre-order.
The cases for upcoming phones are usually a good reference for how the device will end up looking like and the provided dimensions let us compare them to other phones. Sometimes companies even send case manufacturers the renders of their upcoming devices so they can sell their accessories right by the launch of the new phones. GSM Arena got some realistic-looking renders from ITSKINS based on the schematics that got leaked a while ago, so we can see how the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge could look like. The screens of the rendered phones show the wallpaper used in the Galaxy S6 as evidenced by the date depicted date, March 1, which was when the current flagships were launched. The phones will supposedly once again be built with glass on the front and back with a metallic frame holding those two pieces together. In some of the renders, the Galaxy S7 (with a flat screen) seems to have a curved back, much like the one in the Note 5 and the back of the Galaxy S7 Edge seems to be flat. The Home button that integrates the fingerprint scanner seems to be taller than the one used in the Galaxy S6.
The ITSKINS cases are available for the Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy S7 Edge Plus, curiously there's no mention of the Galaxy S7 Plus. The dimensions listed for these cases by the manufacturer are 148 x 73 x10 mm for the Galaxy S7, 142 x 70 x 7 mm for the Galaxy S7 Edge and 154 x 76 x 7 mm for the Galaxy S7 Edge Plus. Still, there's some conflicting information on the specs page. All of the cases will apparently become available on January 15, 2016.
