OnePlus Offers Free Games To OP Owners In AirConsole Partnership

Mobile gaming has been on the rise for the last couple of years and as we near 2016 there are more than a few ways to get your fix. You can play some games using Bluetooth gamepads while others are specially designed for use with touchscreens, and you can play on the go or at home on the couch with devices like Android TV. When it comes to gaming on the go, OnePlus is giving their fans (OnePlus device owners) access to exclusive free games through their newly announced partnership with AirConsole, who boasts that your browser acts as your console for all your mobile gaming needs while you use your phone to control the games.

As this is an exclusive partnership between OnePlus and AirConsole, you will need any of the available OnePlus smartphones to take advantage of the access for the exclusive content, which includes the OnePlus One, the OnePlus 2, and the OnePlus X which is now available in Europe. At the moment there are three OnePlus device exclusives, including a game called Brick Wars which is an arcade-like Pong game, Silly Run Valley which looks like and endless runner, and Remon and Honey which is an arcade style shoot-em-up. Aside from these three games, OnePlus owners can access other game content through AirConsole as well like an NES emulator, a Cards Against Humanity clone, YouTube Jukebox, Hit Parade, Tic Tac Boom, PolyRacer, AirShields, Rakete, Quick Minds, and Texas Holdem.

Save for the three exclusives, users who don't have a OnePlus device can access AirConsole through their browser and play any of the other games listed here while using their smartphone as the controller for the content. Other players can also join in, for example if you wanted to play Cards Against Humanity you would hit the join button in your PC browser, then have other players visit the website from their phone browser to enter the unique code which turns their device into the controller for the game. It's a pretty unique little concept and one that's fairly entertaining if you wanted some games to play. The best part is all the exclusive content is free as are the other games and apps in AirConsole. If you're interested in checking it out, you can visit the AirConsole website from the source link.
