HTC One A9 Gets Released In India For Rs. 29,990 ($449)

The HTC One A9 has been announced back in October. This handset actually ships with the latest version of Android, but other than that, it belongs in the upper mid-range class of smartphones. Quite a bit of controversy followed the release of this device, mainly due to its design. According to the latest info though, the phone is selling just fine, and is keeping HTC in the game, for now. This Taiwan-based smartphone manufacturer has released the One A9 in India today, the phone is now available exclusively on Snapdeal, but we'll talk about that in a second. The One A9 sports a 5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) 2.5D curved AMOLED display along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 617 64-bit octa-core SoC along with an Adreno 405 GPU for graphics. The device features a 13-megapixel camera (BSI sensor, OIS, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture) on its back, and an UltraPixel snapper (f/2.0 aperture) can be found up front. The 2,150mAh battery is also a part of this package, as is Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 feature for fast charging. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed here with HTC's Sense UI installed on top of it. The phone also sports a multi-directional fingerprint scanner and 4G LTE connectivity. The One A9 measures 145.75 x 70.8 x 7.26mm, while it weighs 143 grams.

Pre-orders will kick off starting from 9AM tomorrow morning, and will last until December 14th. The phone will then be available for open purchase starting from December 15th.
